I have been calling one 800 numbers from one number to another and it’s been four numbers and I can’t seem to get anybody on the phone to help me print out a receipt from last week. I

Ive been trying to connect with the receipt from my company. The check number the check number is 59.

Im sorry the check number is 5699. Its from my company. I bought a printer and a box of ink totally about 380 Ive been given nothing but runaround. I have 888-263-**** number, they give you what youre looking for one automated service after another.

Its really frustrating and all I want is a printed out receipt.

The date would be September 18 or the 19th again for printer and a box of totaling around about 380 again the check number is 5699. The check name was Companion housing.

Last Pick Up for Order and Rude Customer Service

Office Depot - Last Pick Up for Order and Rude Customer Service
Office Depot - Last Pick Up for Order and Rude Customer Service - Image 2

Hello,

I am writing to complain about my order not being ready for pick up (despite having received an e-mail message from the company stating it was)! I placed the order for two office chairs before going to lunch at 11:00 AM.

At 11:37 AM, I received an email from Office Depot which confirmed my order was ready for pickup at the store location. However, I also had paid to have both chairs assembled. I thought that was fast...let me call and check on the status, which I did shortly after receiving the email confirmation message. I spoke with Jason, who said "That can't be right [referring to the chairs being ready for pickup] because I am the one who handles that, and I have been busy..." I asked, "When will the chairs be ready?" He replied, "It's going to take at least a couple of hours." I said so around 3:00?" He said, "Yes, they should be ready by then."

The bottom line is I received an email message which relayed false information.

Additionally, my co-worker went to pick up the two chairs and was spoken to very rudely by an employee at the Shelbyville Road location in St. Matthews (Jason)! He said the chairs weren't ready. When she asked when the chairs would be ready, she told me Jason's response was rude that he did not have an ETA, and that she could leave.

I have spent a lot of time and money at Office Depot over the past 35 years (since before the merger occurred between Office Depot and Office Max)! I believe my co-worker and I deserve an apology and a discount on future purchases. Doing this would help to keep a long-time customer. As a result of notifying a customer that an order was ready to be picked up, having someone waste time; gas, and energy to pick up that order, just to be treated rudely simply is unacceptable customer service.

This is why I am sharing this experience on multiple social media platforms. The employee did not even offer an apology to my co-worker for treating her so rudely.

He should not be treating anyone who walks into the store rudely (no matter how short-staffed he said they were)! During my search, I saw that the corporate office for Office Depot had a 1.7 rating for customer service...see this information did not come as a surprise.

Poor Customer Service

Office Depot - Poor Customer Service
Office Depot - Poor Customer Service - Image 2

Hello,

I stopped into the Office Depot located at 1940 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33324. I requested assistance to print out some documents. I was pointed to an associate, Sara, to help me. Without looking up, she pointed and said, 'Over there, just follow the directions.' It took me four times asking her to assist before she came over to help. 'This is self-service, I work over there,' she said. That's where she was looking at her phone. This printout took about 20+ minutes which normally at any other OD store takes just 5 minutes. Is this the new climate of customer service at OD?

Reply requested.

Return

I order a chair, tried to return to store could not because chair is not carried in store. Customer service was no help.

I tried to explain that the chair was assembled in the store, so I have no box to ship it back in. They schedule pickups without contacting me first to schedule.

Local store managers tried to help me.

They are willing to disassemble the chair and put it in a box but customer service will not send them a shipping label to return the chair.

I have been hung up on and left on hold for over an hour. Still no resolve to my problem.

I was hung up on the phone from the Office Depot customer service 3 times

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

All these calls took place on July 10, 2024. I was hung up on the phone from the Office Depot customer service 3 times and spent over 1.5 hours on the phone waiting.

The last call was at 6:49 PM and the male representative put me on hold for 20 minutes and hung up on me. Before that I was on the phone at 5:23 PM and was put on hold for 25 minutes and hung up on. Then at 5:50 I called back and was put on hold 25 minutes then hung up on.

On July 4, 2024 at 1:37 PM I called the Office Depot (store #02255) at 7608 Denton Highway Suite 340 in Watauga, TX 76148. I called the shipping department and asked if they take Pre-paid FedEx packages.

The female employee said yes and I told her I would be there to drop it off shortly. I arrived around 1:25 PM I was the ONLY customer inside the store during that time. The employee that answered the phone was a heavyset black female with glasses (did not get her name). She was rude and unfriendly and argumentative.

I smiled and said hello to her and she just ignored me. She then proceeded to drop the package with my camera in it on the floor hard. Then she tossed it hard into the bin. I asked her for a receipt and she just rolled her eyes and sighed.

Then she did not know how to print a receipt. It took her 10 MINUTES to give me a receipt and then she ARGUED with me and repeated herself at least 7 times telling me they are not responsible for any damage even though she dropped my box TWICE hard on the floor and in the bin. Then she argued with me saying they don't give a tracking number. I did NOT ask her for a tracking number.

I asked her for a receipt. She repeated this 5 times saying "We don't give tracking numbers" which I never asked for. Then, when she finally printed out the receipt there was a tracking number. I called to complain on July 10, 2024 1(8**) **3-3768 and an INCOMPETENT call center employee named Rayounce took my complaint at 5:23 PM.

She put the wrong address to send my complaint to and I asked her to send it to the correct address. She then put me on hold for 25 minutes and then I was disconnected. Rayounce the call center was completely INCOMPETENT and did not take my complaint.

I called back and NOBODY answered the phone and also wasted my time trying to give my complaint to Rayounce the call center employee who sent my complaint to the Fort worth Office Depot and NOT the Office Depot located in Watauga, TX. (I asked her to confirm where she sent it) I requested a supervisor to call me back and they never did.

Original review Sep 07, 2024
I am an elderly heart patient in my seventies. I have never been bullied and threatened in such a horrific and traumatizing manner as I was in your store by one of your employees named 'Kason'.

On 9/5/2024, at 1:30 pm, I was trying to fill my order at the the 402 West 23rd St. Panama City Florida location when I needed to use the copy machine. 'Kason' began instructing me on how to use the machine. He could not explain or articulate the 5.00 dollar hold on my card to my satisfaction.

I told him I wasn't comfortable using the card and I would just pay cash for the two copies. That's when 'Kason' began to get irate and offensive. He told me it was either use the card or leave the store. I told him not to speak to me in that manner.

He became even more irate and started threatening me with 'jail'. That's right, 'jail'. I told him to leave me alone so I could finish my transaction, but he wouldn't relent. He just got more threatening.

Screaming 'You want to go to jail today I guess you want to go to jail today, you want me to call the law and have you arrested, you want to go to jail'. I said all I wanted was to finish my transaction and leave, but he continued with his violent tirade. I finally had to demand he shut up. That's when Mary stepped in with an apology and helped me complete the transaction.

When I got to my vehicle, I had to take the first nitroglycerin tablet since my heart attack a year ago. Something I thought I wouldn't have to do. I spent many years in retail furniture sales and never encountered anything like this. Some people are not cut out for certain jobs dealing with the public.

If you were to discharge 'Kason', you would be doing yourselves and 'Kason' a huge favor. If you don't, you are probably in all likelihood setting yourselves up for a huge lawsuit. Something I personally haven't ruled out at this point in time. P.S.

despite 'Kason's' version of the event, there were a number of witnesses present including two of your employees, Mary and Josh. Thank you, Robert Einglett.

"I am an elderly heart patient in my seventies" No One Cares.....You're a bully who was checked and now you want to pad your complaint with nonsense. You were "man" enough to step to someone you THOUGHT had to take your nonsense and was put in your place.

Please expect more of this, as no one is anymore checking for your old coot nonsense. It sounds like this person tried to tell an idiot how a card hold works. An idiot who thinks this is 1970 when he was king bully on the block. This time, you found out that you had two choices: card or get out.

If this moved to the point of threatening to call the police, YOU escalated the situation and found out quickly that you were nothing. Kudo to this person for standing up to an old irrelevant bully like you. Do the world a favor, stay home and out of the way of people trying to live as it's clear you stopped trying and want to drag people down with you. P.S.

Stop liking your own posts. It's tacky and we can see it's you.

C'mon...Do you think some kid in a copy store without reason decided to threaten to call the police? Here's the thing: It's easy to spot a terrible person by the way they pad their complaint.

His age and alleged health issues are irrelevant to the situation and are put in there for sympathy. Opa also told himself, "Explain to my satisfaction." These are the words of an idiot or an entitled idiot. His final tell is that he thought this was 1980 when Cash was king. If Opa didn't want to use his card, his only next step was to leave, which I'm sure he made a scene about.

You see, old fools like this are the bane of retail. They think they are still relevant and lash out when they find out to the contrary and go into their acts.

Sadly, people like this never know who they're dealing with when they do this. A few have made the news after they were deleted.

Office Depot Is Engaging in Racketeering Consumer Fraud

Office Depot Is Engaging in Racketeering Consumer Fraud
Office Depot Is Engaging in Racketeering Consumer Fraud - Image 2

I ordered a new printer and ink cartridges from the Office Depot website. The printer was delivered in two days, and the ink arrived the very next day, so that was a win, right? However, once I unboxed the printer and tried hooking it up, it would not find my network. This went on for over an hour. I took it to my office and encountered the same problem: it would not recognize that network either. So clearly, the printer was defective. With the ink which was no longer needed for backup supplies, I started the return process. That's where the nightmare began.

First off, I was able to start the return for the ink with no issues. They said it would be picked up on May 16, 2024. It was picked up on 05/17 - no big deal. Also, a week later, no refund. The printer return, on the other hand, could not be started online, they make it as painful as possible to return it. After spending four hours on the phone with their customer service, finally, a return was initiated with a pick-up date of 05/17, which came and went with no pick-up. I called on the 18th and they said they 'attempted to pick it up but the business was closed', which is total BS because it's my home, not a business; that was outright BS. The pick-up was rescheduled for the same day, the 18th. Again, no pick-up. I called again and they said the pick-up was scheduled for the 19th, and again, no pick-up. Then, on the 20th, still no pick-up or refund.

I did a deep dive and it seems they are fully engaged in a racketeering scam where they continually lie about a pick-up date until the time limit for returns expires. At this point, there is no refund from the picked-up ink cartridges, no refund for the defective printer, and the printer is still here. So, it's time to file litigation and hold these individuals accountable while reporting this massive amount of fraud that they are committing against consumers to my local DA office.

Horrible customer service

Office Depot located at 13575 S Dixie Hwy, Miami, FL 33156. I tried to drop off a FedEx package on August 8, 2024, at 5:30 pm at your printing/FedEx area at your store. Your clerk (early twenties, very thin, about 5'9', big hair) essentially refused to help me.

First, he said, 'We don't have envelopes, if you don't have your own you will have to go to a FedEx store!' I said I am not doing that, what can you do for me? He said, 'Go see what you can find on aisle 4.' I said, 'OK, come show me.' He refused. He pointed to the back of the store and repeated, 'Go to aisle 4.'

Unbelievable! I returned with two envelopes and he taped the label with four little pieces of scotch tape. I told him that the label would easily fall off and that I would need him to attach the label completely to the envelope with clear tape. He got a big roll of packing tape and handed it to me. I asked, 'Aren't you going to do this?' He didn't answer and just walked away, leaving me with the big roll of tape.

I called for a manager. A customer service lead showed up. He was a very tall and thin man in his late twenties or early thirties. He was courteous and helped me. But he was not a manager and he was not about to reprimand or report the clerk.

This behavior is uncalled for. Other clerks at your store have been quite helpful in the past. Why would you have someone with such a horrible attitude working at your store?

So I have really three simple questions.

Did your clerk act appropriately? Did he follow Office Depot's policies and procedures?

Do you have a problem with how I was treated?

If you do, what are you going to do to remedy this situation and ensure that this does not happen again?

I returned a cash register because the tax calculator did not work correctly. The store from which we bought this item did not accept the machine and told us to send it to the headquarters.

After several calls and promises that they will send us the refund, we never received it. This was an open box item, and that is the reason they gave us to refuse the return to the store in Colma, California.

I purchased two Mac computers in 2020 and was asked if I wanted to purchase an extra one year service agreement for both computers. I paid $129 for one and $99 for the second service agreement.

Nobody ever said it was a yearly reoccurring charge. This year I noticed the charges and called my credit card company. I was told they had charged me that in 2021 and 2022 also and because they were reoccurring charges I would have to call the company. Talked to several people and they couldnt even figure out where to look for this.

Finally someone found the information and cancelled the contract that had just renewed three days before. Was told I would get a refund for both charges but its been 2 months and nothing. When I call them they cant find it again.

I will never do business with them again. I think they are crooks.

Print & Copy Center girls rude and unhelpful

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Office Depot Print and Copy center

S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32806

I have been coming to this location for printing and copying for years. I've always had good experiences with the staff.

Today, Wednesday May 8 around 11:00 am, I was there to get some important documents printed and faxed, pertaining to the cremation of a family member. There were two "girls" working behind the counter. I won't call them young women because they acted like surly, ill-mannered teenagers.

The girl who waited on me and printed my documents acted totally disinterested in helping me and like she was doing me a favor even acknowledging my presence. Then, after the fax machine I was using had a paper jam, which damaged the page and required a new one to be photocopied, I stepped back over to the counter, in somewhat of a hurry because my credit card number was in the now unattended machine.

I tried to get their attention but they were too busy talking about some minor, unrelated issue. Trying to get their attention, I stepped a little closer, when the other girl started getting loud and acting like a cop doing crowd control, shouting at me to step back. It took a good minute to get one of them moving to accomplish the simple task of running one photocopy. Then the two of them skulked back to the back of their work area and gave me dirty looks.

Totally unprofessional.

The girl who first waited on me and printed my documents didn't even print me a receipt when she was finished ringing up the transaction.

All I got was a coupon I won't use.

I must say that a manager, a young man with a difficult name to spell and pronounce... Deudonne (?) was very polite, courteous and helpful. He is a true credit to the company. Without his assistance, I would have just left in disgust.

I understand that companies like Office Depot can no longer be too choosy about the kinds of employees they hire, given the current, legally required focus on "other factors" outside the realm of basic qualifications.

But these two girls need to be sent to some kind of customer service or attitude training. I won't be going back there for a long time.

I'll use the Staples up in Colonial Plaza for the foreseeable future. If I find out those two are gone, I'll give this store a try again.

Assult by Cassie and other colleague

I approached the lady to print and I heard something like takes two days to get it. So I said two days?

She immediately snapped at me and started shouting at me raising her voice. I asked how did I offend her? By asking question? The other lady said it is necessary to shout and raise her voice so that I could hear well.

I was treated humiliated and wondered if this is not because of the color of my skin.

I wonder how and why I must be shout at for asking a question? Is this how Office Depot has asked their staff to treat customers?

Request for Pickup of Returns

I called every day and every day they promised to pick up the return the same day, but it never happened. The customer service is poor.

I asked to speak to a supervisor but was put on hold for over 15 minutes. I finally spoke to a supervisor named Sherri, but she only promised again that they would pick up today. I asked for her email address, she said she would email me with her email address, but she refused to give me hers and hung up on me. From now on, I am switching to Staples!

The customer service at Office Depot is bad. It's difficult to find an Office Depot store near me.
