Office Depot complaint by BitterWoman
I went to Office Depot to buy a new chair for my office. After looking at all of the chairs (which took quite a while) I chose a chair and took the tag to the front desk. I was informed that the chair on the floor was their last chair and they would not sell it to me. They told me to go across town to another Office Depot where they had 23 of them. Why couldn't they sell me the floor model, which I would have taken, although I would have preferred a new one? Some customer service! They had the chair, but expected the customer to go across town to buy it at another outlet. I will never shop at Office Depot again. I went to Walmart and found a better chair anyway that was on sale for half the regular price. This Office Depot was the South Salem outlet in Oregon.

The purpose of the floor model is so customers can look at it and decide if they want to buy that line of product. They will only sell the floor model if it is a discontinued item and that is the last one. Why should they sell you the floor model and then have to assemble another one to put back on the floor again?! I bet you would've wanted a discount too because it was a floor model. :cry
